Events Industry to Return to Normality by Easter Says Culture Secretary

On Wednesday 2nd December, the Secretary of State for culture, media, and sport, Oliver Dowden, delivered a speech at the Major Events Summit, announcing the expected return to normality for the events industry by Easter 2021 - which is fantastic news for the upcoming Executive Hire Show, taking place on 28th and 29th April 2021.

Keynote speaker, Dowden, highlighted that allowing venues in Tier 1 and 2 to host events with audiences (as stated in the Government’s Winter Plan) was a step forward for the industry.

He said "I know it’s nothing like normalcy but at least it provides some progress. More importantly, when we look at the path through to Easter, recent days have seen a stream of positive news about potential vaccines and testing. I really do firmly believe, and I know the Prime Minister shares this view, that a return to normality is firmly within our sights".
